Australian Band Sheppard Release Debut EP

Australian Band Sheppard Release Debut EP

Following the release of their “ridiculously catchy” debut single ‘Let Me Down Easy’, Brisbane 6-piece indie pop band Sheppard have just released their self-titled EP.

Made up of siblings Amy, Emma and George Sheppard, along with friends Jay Bovino, Michael Butler and Dean Gordon, Sheppard’s unique party atmosphere and good-time melodies are taking the world by storm.

Sheppard are making big waves in 2013, following a whirlwind 2012 that saw the band on the road to the UK, USA, The Philippines, South Africa, and even India, where they played the NH7 Weekend Festival in Pune, Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore.

The lead single and turn-up tune from the EP – ‘Let Me Down Easy’ – debuted in the Australian pop charts top 50 – becoming one of the biggest independent hits on Australian radio this decade and scoring them international commercial radio airplay and TV appearances.

In the USA ‘Let Me Down Easy’ cracked the Top 100 on the CMJ chart, and after the band sold out Portlands’s Crystal Ballroom became the #1 most requested song on Portland’s KNRK 94.7.

Closer to home, our very own TV3 featuredtheir track ‘Flying Away’ on their TV3 news promo (check that out here). Australian TV show Packed To The Rafters also picked up and synched their hit single ‘Let Me Down Easy’ for a whopping 6 episodes.
