Violin competition starts this Friday
The Michael Hill International Violin Competition is an internationally renowned competition, featuring the finest violinists in the world. Much of the competition takes place right here in the Southern Lakes. The newly refurbished Queenstown Memorial Centre will host the violinists from this Friday 31st May. Many of the competitors arrived into Queenstown yesterday, into wintery conditions, but a very warm welcome.
General admission prices are from $15 - $30. Flexible attendance options cater to the classical music connoisseur as well as the dabblers, and folks just wanting to enjoy a great long holiday weekend. Purchase one session (about two hours), or an all-session pass so you can come and go throughout the event. Or get swept up, stuck in and attend the lot!
