Opening Act Jamaine Ross Announced
Shows Next Week!
Tenacious D have been killing it at their Australian shows ahead of next week’s visit to New Zealand!! The duo has
already played in Brisbane and Sydney and the reports so far have been hugely favourable:

Bringing it all back to the classic lineup that originally birthed their genius, Jack Black and Kyle Gass are touring as
an acoustic duo on their first tour of Australia and New Zealand since their last run supporting Foo Fighters in
December of 2011.
Tenacious D have always maintained a special love affair with audiences here …but this will be their first trip here
since the release of their Grammy-nominated third album, Rize Of The Fenix.
Just announced, joining The D for their New Zealand shows will be special guest, kiwi comedian Jamaine Ross.
Jamaine first tried his hand at stand-up comedy in 2010 as an entrant in the Raw Comedy Quest for rookie comedians. He
was knocked out in the semi-finals that year, but returned in 2012 to win the whole thing by unanimous decision.
He has just come off headlining The Medium Rare Comedy Showcase at the 2013 New Zealand International Comedy Festival
which had a successful run, earning a 5 star review, and selling out several shows.
His comedy draws on his childhood experiences as a Maori growing up in Christchurch, his unique relationship with his
mother, and his keen observations on everyday life, which are sometimes explored further than necessary but to hilarious
effect.
Also appearing on all dates will be SASQUATCH, an “ape-like creature that some people believe inhabits forests, mainly
in the Pacific Northwest region of North America.” Sasquatch will be performing solo at these dates…ripping some unreal
guitar solos.
As with all times Tenacious D takes a stage, these shows are not to be missed.
