‘THE X FACTOR NZ’ LIVE SHOWS ARE COMING:
FIRST TICKETS RELEASED MONDAY 12 MAY
The wait is almost over! Tickets to the first LIVE shows of hit series The X Factor NZ will be released after THIS Monday night’s episode (approximately 8.30pm, Monday 12 May).
Broadcast LIVE on TV3, the May 19 and 20 shows feature performances by The X Factor NZ Top 12, guest star Willy Moon, the Kiwi-born singer making waves in the UK, a special performance by one of The X Factor NZ judges, and the first Top 12 elimination!
To book visit TV3.co.nz at the end of Monday night’s show. Tickets are available free of charge on a strictly limited
basis.
There will be 10 weeks of Performance and Results shows, broadcast LIVE from Auckland Film Studios in West Auckland on
Sunday and Monday nights, featuring performances from The X Factor NZ Top 12 and some special guest artists.
Tickets to the May 26 and 27 will be released on Monday 20 May, with tickets to future shows released on a similar
weekly pattern.
Audience tickets to The X Factor NZ are also train tickets – they can be used to travel by train to the venue, thanks to Auckland Transport. (visit www.AT.co.nz for more information on taking public transport to and from The X Factor LIVE Shows.)
HOW TO BOOK LIVE SHOW TICKETS
•Visit TV3.co.nz/xfactornz each Monday night at the end of that night’s episode of The X Factor NZ.
•You will be able to book tickets to LIVE shows taking place on the following Sunday and Monday.
•You’ll also find information on how to get to the venue – Auckland Film Studios – what time to arrive, and what to wear.
•Tickets for the first LIVE shows (Sunday 19 and Monday 20 May) will be released on Monday 12 May at approximately
8.45pm.

ABOUT THE X FACTOR
Hosted by Dominic Bowden, with Melanie Blatt, Daniel Bedingfield, Stan Walker and Ruby Frost as the four-strong judging
panel, The X Factor NZ is the first local version of the global television phenomenon format put on the map by music mogul Simon Cowell.
The X Factor NZ is open to singers of aged 14 and up, either solo performers or groups. Contestants who make it through are split into
one of four categories – Boys under 25, Girls under 25, Over 25s and Groups. Each category is mentored by one of the
four judges.
At stake is the much coveted title of the winner of The X Factor NZ, a recording contract with Sony Music Entertainment New Zealand and the chance to drive away in the All-New 2013 Ford
Kuga.
The X Factor NZ is a SYCO owned format and is co-produced by MediaWorks and FremantleMedia Australia. Ford New Zealand
is the Broadcast Sponsor, with McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, Samsung as programme partners. NZ on Air is a minority funder of

ABOUT THE LIVE SHOWS
The X Factor NZ LIVE Performance Shows take place on Sunday nights, from May 19. The pressure has never been higher, as the acts
perform LIVE on stage in a concert-like show, to persuade both the judges and the public they deserve to continue in the
competition.
At the end of each Sunday’s show, the voting lines are opened, and the viewing public can vote via text and Facebook to
keep their favourites in the competition.
The results of the public vote are announced in a LIVE results show each Monday night, and the acts with the lowest
number of votes are each given one more chance to impress the judges before one act is eliminated from the competition.
