For immediate release 22 April 2013

Bakers Helping Kiwi Women Look Good And Feel Better

Bakers Delight is looking to raise $6,000 to help support women’s cancer charity, Look Good Feel Better.

The campaign runs from 2 - 22 May with all 32 Bakers Delight bakeries throughout New Zealand donating $1 from every Cape Seed Loaf and Chia & Fruit Loaf sold to Look Good Feel Better.

In New Zealand, over 10,000 women are diagnosed with cancer each year. The Look Good Feel Better charity runs free nationwide workshops to enhance the appearance of women undergoing cancer treatment and help thousands of women to literally look good and feel better.

The workshops give women living with cancer a ‘pick me up’ pampering treatment from fully trained volunteers with makeup, skincare and hair tips. Over 3,000 women across 24 New Zealand locations go through the programme annually.

All proceeds raised from the Bakers Delight Cape Seed and Chia & Fruit Loaves will go directly towards the Look Good Feel Better workshops.

Yvonne Brownlie, General Manager of Look Good Feel Better, says the annual support from Bakers Delight is greatly appreciated and enables the charity to help more women facing cancer.

“The number of women in New Zealand affected by cancer yearly continues to rise, and adding to the stress of treatment is the resulting change of appearance which for many women greatly affects how they feel,” said Brownlie.

“With cancer touching the lives of so many New Zealanders, we’re proud to continue our support of Look Good Feel Better for another year and offer our customers an easy and tasty way to get behind this great cause.” says Paterson.
