The NZ International Comedy Festival 2013 begins at the end of April leading into numerous shows in May to get your laugh on! We are excited to welcome comedians such as Danny Bhoy, Wilson Dixon, Tom Green just to name a few! The entertainment continues with loads of sport on offer such as Haier Pulse home games, basketball in style with Wellington Saints, and don't miss the world-famous ball handlers The Harlem Globetrotters!

HANDMADE 2013 is a festival celebrating all things handmade – learn to create beautiful and contemporary crafts, Wellington Town Hall (plus other venues in the city), 1-2 June. The well known children's books are coming to the stage! Hairy Maclary & Friends will be visiting the Opera House, 19-20 July. Spend An Evening with Joan Baez; America's legendary folk singer, songwriter and activist, as she returns to our country after 20 years. Michael Fowler Centre, 31 August. Stash the gold, guard the women and hide the rum ... The Pirates of Penzance comic opera is coming to the Opera House, 3 September.
