Stuck for the perfect Mother's Day gift?
When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts. A mother always has to think twice, once for herself
and once for her child.

Variety – the Children’s Charity Offers a Gift with a Difference This Mother’s Day
Forget the new frying pan, oven mitts or kitchen knife! Make your Mother the guest of honour by treating her to an
afternoon of inspiration and indulgence this Mother’s Day.
Guests will enjoy fine food, a glass of bubbles on arrival, anecdotes from Kiwi Mum’s including TVNZ Breakfast’s Toni
Street, plus entertainment from Tui award-winning Singer/Songwriter Tami Nielson together with Variety Voices.
Take your Mum on a date, or bring the whole family! Kids will enjoy decorating their own cupcake or having their face
painted, and you can taste culinary delights from the Heritage Auckland Grand Tearoom.
Proceeds raised from the event will go towards getting necessary items in to the hands of children in need. According to
the Child Poverty Action Group, approximately 20% or 270,000 New Zealand children live in poverty. Many of these
children miss out on life’s necessary items.
The Grand Tearoom at the Heritage Auckland is set in the building of the former and much loved Farmers department store
that served shoppers for almost eighty years. The landmark building continues to win
hearts as the luxurious Heritage Auckland, and the original work of American architect RA Lippencott (1937) is
remembered in the Grand Tearoom which boasts intricate high ceilings and plush surroundings.
