Yo ho ho! The pirates are getting restless and long for a great party! Oliver Terrapin is a 7 year old boy who is full of adventure but when a retired pirate comes to babysit for the Terrapin family he and his parents are in for quite a surprise. Based on the Margret Mahy short story, and adapted by Carl Nixon this is fun energetic pirates tale with sea shanties and dance and as always audience participation.
The Great Piratical Rubustification is the first KidzStuff show directed by Lucy Edwards. Lucy previous directing credits include many short films such as award winning Edge screened at Cannes international film festival in 2008. She is also known for writing, acting and producing theatre in Wellington and Auckland over the last 8 years which credits that include The frogs under the waterfront and Brain Damage at Bats Theatre. The remarkably talented cast are Michael Fowler Rob Hickey, Sandi Malesic, Paul "Rocky" Fidow who all have extensive screen and stage experience.
