Rinnai Barbecue a winner for Auckland Mum
Buying a barbecue at Harvey Norman turned out to be a stroke of good luck for stay-at-home Auckland Mum of one, Erin Robson - who has won a trip for two to Queenstown, including a luxury heli-wine tour to the picturesque Mt Difficulty vineyard in Central Otago, home to some of New Zealand's finest pinot noir.
Robson, a former PR manager for a wine importer
in the UK, says that the trip is a welcome break for the
couple, who have 14-month-old baby.
"Because we're still relatively new parents, it can be difficult for my husband and I to get time to ourselves and if we hadn't won the heli-wine tour to Queenstown, it probably would have been many years before we went on something like this! We've heard lots of great things about Mt Difficulty, and it helps that all tickets, transfers and accommodation are paid for as part of the prize," says Robson.
Robson says that she entered the competition after purchasing a four-burned stainless steel barbecue from the Rinnai range at Harvey Norman. She emailed her details to the address on the competition entry that came with the barbecue.
"The prize is for a trip for two to Queenstown, staying at the Queenstown Park boutique hotel. We've decided to do it over Easter weekend and will stay for two nights and do the heli-wine tour on the Saturday. We get to stop off for lunch as well, which will be nice, and I'm definitely looking forward to the wine tasting!" she says.
Rinnai spokesperson Kathryn Geck says that the total prize value of the package was $3500.
"We're thrilled that the prize went to a young couple. We hope they get years of pleasure out of their new barbecue, which I'm sure they will, especially with the beautiful weather we have been getting in the North Island recently!"
