“I laughed so hard that I had to make an emergency dash to the loo.”
The Telegraph, UK
After delighting audiences at their NZ International Comedy Festival debut in 2012, the multi-award winning band of buffoons, Idiots of Ants return with a new hour of fast-paced comedy: Model Citizens.
The ‘Idiots’ have lugged their collection of props and tricks from the UK ready to answer all the important questions. What’s small, pink and should never be juggled? If an air guitar falls over in a forest does it make a sound?
After forming in 2007, Idiots of Ants (Andrew Spiers, James Wrighton, Elliott Tiney and Benjamin Wilson) went on to perform at the prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal in 2009 with comedy greats Bill Cosby and John Cleese (who also appeared in one of their sketches).
They caused a mass frenzy online with over 10 million YouTube views of their ‘Facebook in real life’ and ‘Wii breakfast’ sketches as well as countless appearances on radio and TV.
Whatever you do, don’t be fooled by their boyish innocent looks. Idiots of Ants are all slapstick hits and choreographed skits.
“Idiots of Ants: an essential ingredient in a healthy Comedy Festival diet.”
Herald Sun
“Muscle-spasmingly clever and funny…By half time they already had these five stars. But what we got in the second half made me wish I had five more to give. ”
