March To The Phoenix Match
The Wellington Phoenix make their long awaited return to Dunedin when they take on Melbourne Heart FC in a Hyundai A-League clash that is vital for both teams as the sudden-death finals draw close.
On Sunday afternoon prior to the match, fans are invited to be part of a March to the Match 'fan trail', which will see a procession from the Octagon, through the University of Otago, and on to Forsyth Barr Stadium.
Phoenix Mascot "Nixie" and the Nixie Dixie Band will lead the way, and the passionate and vocal Yellow Fever supporters will ensure a vibrant and fun-filled atmosphere for everyone - this even before the on-field action kicks off at 4:30pm!
All interested members of the public are invited to join the march.
Dunedin March to the Match 'fan trail' timetable:
3pm: Meet at the Octagon (upper lawn area);
3:15pm: March leaves the Octagon for Forsyth Barr Stadium, heading down
George Street and passing through the University of Otago campus; 4pm: March arrives at Forsyth Barr Stadium;
4.30pm: Kick off Wellington Phoenix v Melbourne Heart FC.
