TVNZ Appoints New Manager of Maori And Pacific Programmes

TVNZ APPOINTS NEW MANAGER OF MAORI AND PACIFIC PROGRAMMES
Shane Taurima has been appointed TVNZ’s new General Manager of Maori and Pacific Programmes.
Taurima has been part of TVNZ for the last 12 years in senior on air and producer roles, most recently as Executive Producer of Te Karere and Q Presenter.
Announcing the appointment, Ross Dagan, TVNZ Head of News and Current Affairs, says, “He brings with him a wealth of content experience, intimate knowledge of the issues that impact on Maori and Pasifika communities and innate cultural understanding.”
“He is well regarded internally and externally as a journalist and programme maker. I know he will build on the successes of our Maori and Pacific programmes.”
