Vans BOWL-A-RAMA™ Wellington has touched down and hit the ground running with a jam packed week of events with the ‘Festival of the Skateboard’
parties, art shows, music and entertainment. Be prepared for this year’s hottest Vans BOWL-A-RAMA™ Wellington and join
us for a week of wicked events!
Manual Magazine will be celebrating it’s first New Zealand Skater of the Year awards, which will be announced Thursday
night at Puppies from 8pm followed by the Love & Guts art show "The Badlands" on Friday night from 6:30pm, the artshow will attempt to pay homage to the attitude and
style of The Badlands which has been a major influence on skateboard culture for more than 35 years. It is this
influence you can see on the skaters in this exhibition both on and off their boards.
As Vans BOWL-A-RAMA™ Wellington moves into its sixth year of supercharged skateboarding, 2013 promises a week of
skateboarding inspired cultural activities leading the crowds into the highly anticipated competition on Saturday,
February 16 at Waitangi concrete bowl. With the competition drawing some of the biggest names in skateboarding, fans are
looking forward to a tough, thrilling battle for an overall prize pool of an impressive $30,000 AUD.
This is also the first year that Vans BOWL-A-RAMA™ Wellington will be live streaming from 11am on the BOWL-A-RAMA

The week will exhibit some of the world’s best skaters, including Pedro Barros, Jack Fardell (new Australian Champion),
Josh Rodriguez, Mike Owen, Kalani David, Charlie Blair, Lizzie Amanto, Otavio Neto, Josh Stafford, Alex Sorgente, Nilo
Pecanha, Kevin Kowalski, Nolan Monroe, Jackson Pilz and Jesse Noonan
In the Masters we have a killer line up including Sergie Ventura, Pat Ngoho, Lester Kasai, Sasha Steinhorst, Mike
Spittlehouse, Steve Caballero and Mike Rogers,
This year at Vans BOWL-A-RAMA™ Wellington, Red Bull Sk8 Generation will be presenting an opportunity to a non-Brazilian
or a non-Vans or Red Bull sponsored skater. Two skaters, one from the Masters and one from the Pro division will get a
free entry card as well as flights and accommodation at the Red Bull Sk8 competition held in Florianopolis Brazil on13th
of April 2013.
BOWL-A-RAMA™ was born on Bondi Beach – Sydney, Australia in 2005 and is the biggest professional concrete series in the
World. With the addition of NYC, BOWL-A-RAMA™ can now call some of the most iconic destinations in the world home.

Vans BOWL-A-RAMA™ Wellington is a World Cup Skateboarding (WCS) sanctioned event held at Waitangi Park, Wellington. Held annually, this free public
event attracts rotating crowds of 3000+ in one day.
The event has added a significant roster of activities to its bill and will continue to grow. The new Vans BOWL-A-RAMA™ website is now live, and includes a regularly updated news page as well as a portal to the facebook page, which
complements a strategic social media campaign implemented in order to amplify the overall experience. Major sponsors of
