Lake Wanaka, 4 February 2013 – The Kathmandu Riverrun Trail Series is gearing up for race two of the four race trail running series taking place on Saturday 16 February offering a 13km trail run on the Clutha River Track starting in Albert Town and crossing the finish line near Luggate.
With Challenge Wanaka done and dusted, the race offers runners the perfect opportunity to maintain fitness whilst stepping training down a notch. Race Director Victoria-Murray Orr believes it is the perfect Saturday morning run and encourages runners of all abilities and ages to get involved.
“The great thing about the Kathmandu Riverrun Trail Series is that it’s all about enjoying these amazing trails we have here in Wanaka. The distances are achievable for athletes of all levels and it’s a really fun morning out in a spectacular environment,” she said.
There is a good prize pool up for grabs including cash prizes for place getters, plus plenty of spot prizes.
Wanaka Health will once again be offering sports massage for runners and there’ll be fresh coffee at the start and finish line areas.
