On your marks. Get set. febfast.
Many New Zealanders are about to embark on 28 days of feeling healthy and energetic by starting the febfast challenge tomorrow.
febfast encourages people to push pause on alcohol from the first until the 28th of February to support young New Zealanders with alcohol and other drug problems.
febfast coordinator Jackson Wood said there has already been a good uptake in people registering for the challenge.
“We are delighted so many awesome people are showing their support for febfast,” Mr Wood said.
“Participants always get a lot from febfast: they feel healthier, more energetic, they lose weight, and save money.
“February is the shortest month of the year, so it is a good opportunity to push pause on alcohol after the busy summer celebration season.”
Mr Wood said there is still time for people to sign up for the challenge, even people going to the Rugby Sevens this weekend.
“You can buy a ‘time out’ from febfast if you’ve got a big event, like the Rugby Sevens planned,” Mr Wood said.
“You can get back on board on Monday and start raising money to support young people with alcohol and other drug problems.”
