R Presents Netsky LIVE
R is happy to announce the return of New Zealand’s favourite Belgian, Netsky.
A new date has been added to his album tour, and the full Netsky LIVE show is now coming to Hamilton’s new Claudelands venue on Saturday 16 March, following shows in Dunedin (14th) and Wellington (15th).
Hot on the heels of his headline performances at both Rhythm & Vines and Rhythm & Alps in late December, Netsky is returning for an encore tour showcasing his second album, ‘Netsky 2’. Local support acts are still to be announced.
Leading a wave of new drum and bass talent from Europe with his blend of uplifting, melancholic melodies and heavy dancefloor bass and beats, Netsky’s meteoric rise has put him at the forefront of the global electronic music scene.
R is Boris Daenen’s (Netsky) favourite festival in the world and he is a huge fan of NZ audiences. Progressing from his beginnings as a DJ/producer, he has honed his live show over the past year with a full band, and is keen to bring them back for more Kiwi love in venues around the country.
Speaking at R the day after his festival performance on 29 December, Boris explains why he loves returning here:
“It’s just insane how people here in New Zealand combine the energy with just a good attitude. There is no mosh pitting, no aggression whatsoever, and that makes it a lot more beautiful for us. Just plain energy, so much dancing… it’s amazing, it’s really how it should be everywhere.”
Now Hamilton, Wellington and Dunedin will get to experience that energy. Don’t miss this!
Pre-sales to R customers: Monday 3 Feb, $45
GA sales: Tuesday 4 Feb, $49.50
