Lincoln Leads Oscar Nominations
Fresh off its success at the Screen Actor Awards, Lincoln appears set to win a swag of Oscar awards in 2013, favourites with online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au in a host of categories including Best Picture ($1.80) and Best Director ($1.14).
Daniel Day Lewis (Lincoln) is priced at Black Caviar like odds of $1.04 to scoop up Best Actor, with Golden Globe winner Hugh Jackman next in the market at $6.00.
Punters are confident that Jenifer Lawrence, who stars in Silver Linings Playbook, will shine through any dark clouds of doubt and take out the Best Actress award, priced at $1.53.
“With the awards season well under way, punters have tipped Lincoln to win three of their twelve nominated categories, leaving Hugh Jackman tres miserables in his pursuit to take out Best Actor,” said sportsbet.com.au’s Brigitte Lowsby.
