Rose Battersby Undergoing Surgery
Aspen, Colorado- 29 January 2013 (NZT) - New Zealand freeskier, Rose Battersby, is currently undergoing surgery at a Denver hospital following a crash during the warmup session at the X Games in Aspen yesterday morning (New Zealand time). Rose was scheduled to compete in the Jeep Ski Slopestyle event.
Following the incident Rose was assessed at Aspen Valley Medical and was reported to have suffered a lumbar spine fracture but was in a stable condition. She was subsequently transferred to a hospital in Denver and is undergoing surgery this morning (New Zealand time).
