Take New Zealand’s King of Rock & Roll, add in two of New Zealand’s most experienced Cabaret entertainers, a touch of the country’s top Opera singers and place them under the umbrella of the country’s largest provider of live concerts and what do you get – The Evening Concert Series launched by Operatunity Entertainment.

The Operatunity company has been touring nationally 8 times a year for the past 11 years with their award winning Daytime Concerts and demand has been so high for these concerts to be repeated for an evening audience that they have bowed to the pressure and launched a 3 concert national evening concert series this year. Continuing with their mantra of excellent shows, top quality performers with a variety of styles they are proud to announce their offerings for 2013.

New Zealand’s King of Rock & Roll Tom Sharplin (many top 20 hits to his name) headlines their first show “Rock the 50s, 60s and 70s”, three decades of fantastic music with a live band is sure to get those toes-a-tapping. This is followed by highly acclaimed cabaret divas Helen Medlyn and Penny Dodd presenting a show “Hell on Wheels!” - songs from music theatre, jazz and opera which will have you laughing and crying your way through the life of a singer in New Zealand. Now to top off the variety “An Evening at the Opera”. Five professional Opera singers present a wonderful concert of the best loved Opera solos and ensembles in a professional yet fun and relaxed style.

This well respected Company (letters of congratulations were received from the Prime Minister and the Arts Minister on their 10th anniversary) is excited and proud to launch into the evening concert scene with this 3 concert palate of shows highlighting the depth of performing talent New Zealand has to offer.
