The Whangarei Art Museum is pleased to announce our 2nd Annual Charity Whangarei Fashion Parade :
Following our very successful 2012 Charity Fashionista Runway Show – Project Promise-Project Runway – we are pleased to present the next Whangarei 2013 fashion-forward event: fashion extravaganza fundraising for Whangarei’s Women’s Refuge Houses: Tryphina House and Te Puna o te Aroha.

The art museum is proud to support local public momentum for a change in domestic violence statistics in our District. The title of this year’s show was created to reflect both the stories of local designers and the stories of violence against women and children in our communities. The Runway show also complements the current exhibition HOME SEWN from the NZ Fashion Museum curated by Doris de Pont ONZM. We are thrilled to have Kim Crawford Wines supporting our event this year.
SOO TRU!...SEW TRUE: The RUNWAY: This year many of the same young Whangarei fashion designers and stylists, who last year made the runway-show such a professional event, will be joined by four local fashion designers from By Design, plus - a new twist with fashion accessories included;-jewellery, fashion hand bags and artist-made scarves hitting the runway.
We have also made two types of tickets available this year with the addition of a VIP ticket reserved seating:
VIP Ticket - $50.00 each:
Entry, two glasses of wine, a front row seat and a Fashionista Complementary Bag.
Ticket: $30.00 each:
Entry and one free glass of wine.
