Only Two Weeks to Register for the Wellington Weet-Bix Kids Tryathlon
Local kids aged 7 to 15 years have less than two weeks left to register for the Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon event in Wellington to take place on Sunday 10 February 2013 at Hutt Recreation Ground.
Participants will have the opportunity to meet sporting celebrities including Sophie Pascoe, Anna Harrison, and Aaron Barclay who will be attending the TRYathlon event.
Pierre van Heerden, General Manager for Sanitarium Health & Wellbeing Company says all kids from Wellington should register now to take part:
“The Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon is suitable for children of all levels of sporting ability as it focuses on encouraging kids to participate and achieving a personal best” says Mr van Heerden.
Each TRYathlon event is made up of three sections, including a swimming, running and cycling leg. Kids can enter the Weet-Bix TRYathlon as individuals, or in a team of two or three.
Entry numbers for the Wellington Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon will be limited, so schools and individuals who want to be involved should get in quick to secure their place.
Every child who participates receives a race pack, a race T-shirt, a swim cap for all swimmers, a certificate and a medal.
To ensure even more Kiwi Kids can take part in the Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon and Go for Gold, Weet-Bix has set up the Weet-Bix Foundation. Teachers and community leaders can apply for support from the Foundation on behalf of a child between the ages of 7 to 15.
The Weet-Bix Foundation provides worthy nominees with a subsidy or complete funding of Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon entry fees, as well as a subsidy or complete funding of necessary equipment to complete the event.
Registrations for this event and nominations for Weet-Bix Foundation can be completed online at http://tryathlon.weetbix.co.nz/ or phone 09 531 5080. The deadline for registrations is Wednesday 6 February, at 11.59pm.
