Revisiting Conversations: Medicine from Poisons
Triangle Television (soon to become "Face Television") will re-broadcast episodes from of the 2012 season of "In
Conversation with Noel Cheer" between January 2 and February 27. The Conversations demonstrate the value to be found in
gently inquisitive discussions, in contrast to the more inquisitorial style all too frequently found on television.
The diversity of subject matter ranges from international politics to economy to theology, from computer technology to
art, to children's books, from the history and politics of modern India to inter-racial relationships in Aotearoa-New
Zealand.
This week's returning guest is Prof. Margaret Brimble from the University of Auckland discussing natural organisms
(especially shellfish) whose normally-lethal toxins can be the bases of medicines.
In Conversation with Noel Cheer, Triangle Television, Wednesday 9th of January at 7:00pm, repeated on Thursday 10th of
January at 12 noon.
Triangle Television, the home of public broadcasting, can be received in the Auckland region on UHF Channels 41, 42 and
52.

From the 1st of February, half way through this "repeats season", Triangle Television will be re-branded as "Face
Television" and will become available on Sky Channel 89. Face Television will continue to broadcast on UHF in Auckland
until later in the year when the analogue service will be withdrawn. Further details will be provided as they become
available.
In Conversation with Noel Cheer receives funding from New Zealand on Air. This has enabled us to introduce viewers to
over 240 New Zealanders on Air and visitors to New Zealand during nearly 6 years of unbroken weekly broadcasting.
