Aces keep same 13 for Volts return clash
The Aces will look to the same players to get them back on the winning track in the HRV Cup tonight against the Otago Volts after naming an unchanged squad of 13.
After starting the competition with consecutive wins the Aces have lost three in a row and need to pick up a victory tonight to keep their playoff chances alive.
Despite those losses coach Paul Strang is not pushing the panic button just yet.
"Whilst the results have been disappointing we're not far away from where we want to be in our performances. We've lost out on some of the small things in each game and if we can polish up those aspects then we'll start picking up wins again."
The close nature of the competition means that wins in the next two games could put the Aces up into second and they'll be keen to grab a win tonight before they head out on the road for three away games.
The 13 from which a team will be named for the game tonight is as follows:
Gareth Hopkins (Captain) (Parnell)
Andre Adams (Overseas professional)
Michael Bates (Suburbs New Lynn)
Craig Cachopa (Takapuna)
Colin de Grandhomme (Howick Pakuranga)
Donovan Grobbelaar (Howick Pakuranga)
Anaru Kitchen (Waitakere City)
Kyle Mills (Howick Pakuranga)
Phil Mustard (Overseas professional)
Matt Quinn (Cornwall)
Bhupinder Singh (Papatoetoe)
Lou Vincent (Takapuna)
Reece Young (Suburbs New Lynn)
