SKYCITY is the place to be this New Year’s Eve
With an impressive fireworks display from the top of the Sky Tower, a concert from legendary Kiwi band Supergroove and various other entertainers across site, SKYCITY Auckland will be the hub of entertainment this New Year’s Eve.
The digital clock in the main atrium will be in countdown mode to midnight, while people flock to SKYCITY to enjoy the vast array of entertainment and premium dining options across site. The Sky Tower will be looking its most impressive with a white stem and swirling colours, while roving entertainers including fire-performers, aerial acrobats and singing artist impersonators entertain crowds.
Legendary New Zealand group Supergroove will entertain party goers at a ticketed event in the SKYCITY Convention Centre, playing all time classic anthems including Sitting Inside My Head, Scorpio Girls, and platinum selling Can’t Get Enough. Tickets are on sale now from www.ticketek.co.nz for $75*, strictly R20. Tickets include a drink on arrival and priority entry to SKYCITY Auckland following the concert.
SKYCITY’s premium dining district on Federal Street will be the place to be for foodies, with Auckland’s award winning restaurants promising to deliver a fantastic experience for customers across the night.
As the countdown clock strikes midnight, the annual SKYCITY fireworks extravaganza will take place, with more than 20 huge pyrotechnic boxes in place to deliver a multitude of impressive effects shooting across the Auckland skyline from the top of the Sky Tower. With star mines, comets, roman candles, crossettes and mines – the display promises to impress excited crowds, celebrating the beginning of 2013.
