New Drama and Documentary Series supported by NZ On Air
NZ On Air is pleased to announce funding for another series of the popular drama series Nothing Trivial for TV One.
With two successful series delighting audiences, the third series of Nothing Trivial will screen in late 2013.
As part of the upcoming commemorations of World War One, NZ On Air is also pleased to announce funding for a significant series War News to screen on Prime. The Platinum funded documentary series will look at the roles played by many different New Zealanders in various WWI campaigns and will be told in an innovative way.
NZ On Air is also funding four new factual series for the year ahead.
Back to the Source will investigate the real cost of the products eagerly consumed in New Zealand.
Street Hospital will follow an innovative new triage unit in Wellington.
The Life and Times of Temuera Morrison will follow one of Māori's favourite sons as he re-evaluates his acting career, engages in competitive kapa haka and reveales his evolving relationships with whanau. It has been supported through NZ On Air's Rautaki Māori.
The well received Songs From The Inside has also been supported for another series through the Rautaki Māori and in conjunction with Te Māngai Pāho.
NZ On Air has also announced funding for Current Affairs programmes Q + A and The Nation from its Platinum Fund.
