Kiwi music stars come out at the Telecom Christmas Tree
Massad
Telecom announced today that some of New Zealand’s hottest musicians will be coming together in a Christmas track
collaboration at the opening night of the Telecom Christmas Tree this Saturday, December 1.
Telecom has brought together the chart topping pop sensation Titanium and Kiwi singer-song writers Lisa Crawley and
Massad, and Marty Rich from Jupiter Project, to perform a special set at the event, which is expected to attract
thousands of Aucklanders.
TK from Titanium says the group is already buzzing about working with such talented Kiwi artists and performing with
them at the opening of the Telecom Tree.
"We're huge fans of the Telecom Christmas Tree so when Telecom asked us to sing a few tunes to the crowd before they
light the tree, we jumped at the chance. The past few months have been a whirlwind and our fans have been amazingly
supportive so we can’t wait to celebrate the festive season with them this weekend since our debut album is out on
Friday the 7th of December,” he said.
Telecom Chief Executive for Retail Chris Quin says that he is thrilled Telecom is now able to announce ‘secret’ special
guests they’ve been talking about.
“After seeing the reaction of my 12 year old daughter to the news that Titanium are playing, I can safely say there
will be a lot of teenagers very excited to see these guys perform!
“And, while I may not be their target audience, I think the special Christmas song they’ve put together with this group
of very talented New Zealand musicians, will touch everyone in the crowd,” he says.
