Fish and Game Loses a Friend
The North Canterbury Fish & Game council and staff have expressed their condolences on the passing of Diana, Lady Isaac, last Friday evening.
“Fish & Game has lost a real friend and advocate,” says North Canterbury Fish & Game Council chairman Martin Clements.
Fish & Game recognises her contribution to the organisation, by making available the salmon and trout rearing facility on her McLean’s Island property.
“This act of generosity enables us to carry out our core function of managing, maintaining and enhancing the habitat of our fresh water fisheries,” notes North Canterbury Fish & Game general manager Rod Cullinane.
Lady Isaac has also been a supporter of the annual Take A Kid Fishing day since its inception 19 years ago, kindly donating the fish to the charitable trust.
