What do the Moon Landings, Urerewa Raids, Dot Com Saga, Flying Saucers & UFO Sightings, Roswell & Area 51, War On Terror, Mt Tongariro Eruption, Time Travel, The Holy Grail, Alien Invasions and Autopsies, the Premature Death of Pope John Paul I, Life, Honest Art, Weird Dreams, Mayan Ruins, Sumerrian & Human Culture, Planet X Nibiru, Government/Big Brother Control re: NAIT/IRD, Earthquake & Tsunami, or the theory that Roadworks are there just to catch you out on a trip,.... all have in common ?
Well these are all themes covered in the Conspiracy Theory Art Exhibition, Opening tomorrow Saturday the 24th of Nov at Mangaweka’s Yellow Church Art Gallery on State Highway One, in the Rangitikei (flyer attached).
Be there at the opening at 1pm and/or at the prize presentation at 3pm, and witness a truly mind expanding array of artworks which are sure to challenge your usual everyday thinking! There will now be four awards on the day, in true Olympic style we have Gold winning $400, Silver taking $100, Bronze with $55 and as our visiting space Alien was so endeared to one particular piece there will be a special “Martian’s-Merit” award to top it all off!
All artworks are for sale, and with around 30 pieces in the exhibition from Simon Jay, Paul Rayner, Ice Pie, Kaz Thompson-Davies, Kerrylee Grayson, Laura Welch, Richard Aslett, J McDavitt, Tom Seaman, Julie Gates, Mark Rayner, Devil’s Advocate, Jan Signal, Margaret Scott, Lorenzo, Maggie Dawson, A. Milne+J. Bligh, and Mark Watson, & other anonymous artists, there willbe plenty of opportunities to acquire some pretty exquisite creations!
Complimentary drinks, nibbles and other celestial treats at the opening!
So unless you get abducted by Aliens, Be there!
Exhibition runs till the Word Ends (according to the Mayan calendar) on 21/12/2012 … OR (in the unlikely event of the World not ending) till the weekend of the Rangitikei Eco-Festival being held at Mangaweka Campgrounds on the week end of 12 & 13 of January 2013.
