programme discussing photography and how they documented what education means for those who have slipped through the
gaps, plus poetry performance and discussion with poet Grace Taylor and the South Auckland Poets Collective
Ahead of her public talk tonight at the museum, bestselling author Dava Sobel has had a behind the scenes tour
with our Botany Curator Ewen Cameron where she was able to see the actual specimens collected over 200 years ago in
‘Plants from Captain Cook’s First Voyage’. Her love of science and discovery was apparent – join her tonight to hear
about the bestselling books she has written about some of the greatest scientific discoveries in the world including her
latest novel A More Perfect Heaven
