MEDIA RELEASE – THE COURT THEATRE
Court Jesters Get Into the Grotto
The Court Jesters are telling the untold tales of Santa’s workshop in this year’s instalment of their perennial Christmas favourite A VERY MERRY SCRIPTLESS: IN THE GROTTO.
Using audience suggestions, the cast of Jesters (Daniel Bain, Alice Canton, Henri Nelis and Hamish Parkinson) harness their improvisational skills to create interweaving stories in and around Santa’s grotto: a setting where elves, reindeer and even St Nick himself become characters in the show.
Director Dan Pengelly feels that A VERY MERRY SCRIPTLESS: IN THE GROTTO “will be a heart warming show filled with fun, magic and playfulness – perfect for all ages”
While GREASE plays on the main stage, The Court’s rehearsal room has been transformed into a performance space “reminiscent of the Forge – intimate, personal and perfect for an interactive production” says Artistic Director Ross Gumbley.
Seats are limited (only 80 per show) and with all tickets $16 for to the strictly limited season it’s expected that ticket will be in demand to get IN THE GROTTO.
A VERY MERRY SCRIPTLESS: IN THE GROTTO runs from December 6 – 22, all shows at 8pm.
