New Zealand's Got Talent opens doors for Unitec's young dance student
With Gradfest 2012 already on track, a number of graduate students were delighted to share their stories on current projects and work in action. The following graduate story showcases a student dedicated to dance.
Former Massey High, West Auckland student, Jared Hemopo is in his second year in the Department of Performing and Screen Arts majoring in Dance. He has taken part in a number of professional dance performances in which he has successfully represented Unitec.
These included an acclaimed Maori performance, Taonga which he showcased during the Tempo New Zealand Festival of Dance, which took place over the month of October.
Jared is also well known as a dancer with Limit Break, which recently made the semi-finals of New Zealand's Got Talent on T.V. One.
This talented young individual has already worked with a few of New Zealand's top professional companies such as Atamira and Black Grace, and continues to inspire and wow his audience with whatever dance performance he showcases.
This month, Unitec unfolds the next wave of graduate talent. You're invited to come and get a new perspective as we celebrate the creative minds of the future.
