Laneway Festival Announcement Advent Calendar – Peeling back square 3 of 6
St Jerome’s Laneway Festival are delighted to confirm REAL ESTATE will perform at the Auckland Anniversary Festival on 28th Jan 2013. Real Estate are the 3rd of 6 acts being added to the Laneway Festival line up. Like a Christmas Advent Calendar –you get a treat each week.
REAL ESTATE
Disarmingly melodic and straight outta Brooklyn, NY, REAL ESTATE proved once again on Days, 2011’s sophomore effort, that nothing beats washed-out guitars, lo-fi reverb, and plenty of sunshine. Like the summer you wish would never end, frontman Martin Courtney’s tales of the suburbs saw Days land at #9 in Pitchfork’s Album of the Year poll, while in 2012 the high school buddies played everywhere from Coachella to China. Expect something special NZ. They performed to a sold out crowd at the start of this year – we are anticipating this band will be a favourite on the day.
St Jeromes Laneway Festival - Auckland’s Wynyard Quarter takes place on Monday 28th January (Auckland Anniversary Day):
