Cult Couture judging panel excited by emerging fashion
talent taking to the stage this weekend
AUCKLAND, Thursday 18 October 2012 - Southside Arts Festival’s premier fashion extravaganza, Cult Couture is on this Saturday and judges promise a must-see show with the highest calibre and number of entries the event has seen in its 11-year history.
Judges say this year’s fresh intake of designers brings a new vitality and dynamism to the competition making 2012’s show the most exciting yet.
The experienced judging panel is unanimous about the creative excellence that will be on-show, saying that this year’s the entries are the strongest to date.
Judges say there is a strong Pacific flavor coming out of the garments and they are reportedly looking forward to seeing it all come together into a spectacular evening of fashion and entertainment.
Hosted by Jackie Clarke, Cult Couture also includes performances by award-winning hip hop dance group the Royal Family, choreographed by Parris Goebel and will be on at the TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre at 8pm on Saturday October 20.
The competition is proudly produced by Auckland Council as part of the popular Southside Arts Festival, which runs until November 11.
