Kiwis Starting Team Announced
Cairns, Australia, October 9, 2012 – Three players will make their Kiwi debuts this Saturday night in Townsville after Stephen Kearney today confirmed the 17 that will take the field against the Kangaroos.
The new faces are the Bulldogs prop Sam Kasiano, the Sea Eagles centre Dean Whare and the Storm second-rower Kevin Proctor. Proctor has toured with the Kiwis before but has not yet taken the field.
The starting forward pack features four players from the NRL Grand Final, with two guys from both the Bulldogs (Kasiano and Frank Pritchard) and the Storm (Jesse Bromwich and Proctor). They’re joined by Issac Luke and Simon Mannering.
The side is again captained by Benji Marshall, who is partnered in the halves with Kieran Foran. Sam McKendry is 18th man.
