Get Cracking And Win a Year’s Supply of Eggs
Feeding hungry mouths for centuries, the humble egg is set to take centre stage next Friday as World Egg Day is celebrated around the globe.
On World Egg Day (Friday 12 October) Kiwis are encouraged to kick start their day with an egg brekkie; perhaps egg soldiers with the
kids, easy microwaved scrambled eggs or a tasty cheese omelette. Eating eggs for breakfast ensures your body is fuelled
for the day with one of nature’s most nourishing and economical whole foods.
This year, Eggs Inc is giving one lucky Kiwi the opportunity to win a year’s supply of eggs and an incredible
KitchenAid® Artisan Stand Mixer valued at $995. Eggs Inc have also launched a new ‘egg yourself’ facebook app for those
who have wondered what they could look like as Humpty Dumpty www.facebook.com/nzeggs.
To ensure all New Zealanders can celebrate World Egg Day, local egg producers will be providing eggs to those less fortunate. Salvation Army and City Mission food banks around the country will be giving out special World Egg Day six packs of eggs in food parcels and will be providing egg-based community meals.
Eggs are a ‘complete protein’ meaning they contain all the essential amino acids needed for healthy body functions, one
of the many reasons why the New Zealand Nutrition Foundation recommend eating up to six eggs per week as part of a
healthy balanced diet.
So don’t be an egg, join the world wide celebrations by having eggs for breakfast next Friday and get to www.eggs.org.nz for free recipes, how-to videos and your chance to win fantastic prizes.
