Cut-price Xbox 360 consoles, gear and games

(reissued release)

Join the Xbox 360 experience with consoles from just $279

Auckland – 03 October. Starting tomorrow, Microsoft New Zealand will significantly cut recommended retail prices across a wide range of Xbox 360 consoles, games and accessories.

Headlining the biggest NZ price drop in Xbox history is a $120 saving on the popular Xbox 360 250GB Kinect bundle – now only $479.

With a standalone 4GB console for just $279, the best-selling console world-wide in 2011 is now $70 cheaper. The 4GB console & Kinect sensor bundle is $100 cheaper at $399.

Standalone Kinect sensors have also hit a new low price - $179 down from $229.

The price reduction comes ahead of a season of blockbuster releases, including Halo 4, Forza Horizon and Dance Central 3.

Xbox NZ lead Steven Blackburn says the price drop is exclusive to the New Zealand and Australian markets.

“This is the biggest price reset for the Xbox range to date. Simply put, we’re offering our fans the same great Xbox 360 experience at our lowest prices ever,” says Blackburn.

To kick off the price drop, Xbox is offering one lucky Xbox NZ Facebook fan a chance to win a copy of every exclusive title releasing this season.

The price drop also includes first-party games - such as the blockbusters Gears of War 3, Forza Motorsport 4 and Kinect Sports 2 – with RRP reduced by up to $20.

For fans looking to add a controller to their rig, the official Xbox 360 controller is reduced by $10 to $79.95. Other controllers and accessories are also $10 to $70 cheaper.
