James K Baxter Exhibition - 25 Sept 2012
From next Tuesday (25 September) visitors to Ans Westra’s James K Baxter exhibition at {Suite} Gallery, 108 Oriental
Parade, Wellington are welcome to request the playing of James K Baxter reading of Barney Flanagan and other poems. Of
the thirteen poems ten are original Baxter works with the other three by Nepalese born English poet Lawrence Durrell.
Westra's exhibition features her iconic portrait of Baxter at Lake Karapiro in 1972 and Hone Tuwhare at Baxter’s
gravesite later the same year. The exhibition ends on 13 October.
