Top International Hairstylist Says Go To Beautiful Lengths for Short Hair this Summer
Keep your hair short and sweet this summer and not only will you be bang on trend, but you'll also be going to beautiful lengths to give hope where it is needed most, says top international hairstylist Barney Martin.
Pantene Beautiful Lengths is a national campaign encouraging women in New Zealand to grow, cut and donate their hair to be turned in to real-hair wigs for women with cancer. In partnership with the charity Look Good Feel Better, Pantene will distribute the wigs across New Zealand at no cost to cancer patients.
With twenty years' experience, Martin is an internationally acclaimed stylist with a reputation for creating beautiful hair and individual styles. As a Pantene Expert Hairstylist and Beautiful Lengths Ambassador, Martin knows the importance of hair to women.
"As a hairstylist, I know how much women value their hair, and a new style can really alter the way a woman feels about herself," says Martin.
"20cm may seem like a lot to cut off, but this summer short sleek styles are in and I can't think of a better reason to update your look than Pantene's Beautiful Lengths programme."
Barney's Top Five Short Styles for Summer:
• Messy, textured styling is a great way to wear short hair, and is a low maintenance option for summer
• A disconnection on one side is a great way to ease into the undercut trend, as seen on Agyness Deyn, for a grungier feel
• Pixie cuts inspired by Mia Farrow are on-trend and can be worn either soft and full or as a more extreme crop
• A semi bob like Rachael Taylor is a chic look when worn smooth and sleek
• For short cuts that sit below the chin, a side swept fringe will soften the crop and complement your face
P spokesperson, Lisa Cunningham, says Pantene Beautiful Lengths was created as a way to support women who are battling cancer and are faced with losing their hair.
"One of the things women think about when they are diagnosed with cancer is losing their hair, so Pantene Beautiful Lengths is a way for us to be there for these women when looking and feeling healthy is so important to them," says Cunningham.

Join Pantene Beautiful Lengths and help support women battling cancer by growing your hair longer and stronger to donate. To us it's hair, but to women with cancer, it's hope.
