Big Wednesday Jackpots to a Record-breaking $27 Million
Big Wednesday First Division has jackpotted tonight meaning a record-breaking $27 million is on offer in next week’s draw, says NZ Lotteries’ Chief Executive Wayne Pickup.
“This massive $27 million prize package is now NZ Lotteries’ second-biggest Big Wednesday prize of all time, if won by just one ticket,” says Mr Pickup.
Three years ago, a family syndicate from Masterton struck it lucky winning $36 million with Big Wednesday.
Big Wednesday First Division was last won in March 2012, when an Auckland family won $11.4 million.
The prize package has been jackpotting ever since and is now worth $27 million, including all of luxury prizes - $675,000 cash towards a bach, $50,000 towards luxury travel, a $50,000 Platinum VISA card, an Audi Q7, a Rayglass 2200 Boat and a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4,” says Mr Pickup.
Big Wednesday sales have increased along with the growing jackpot, which will help to benefit the community. NZ Lotteries profits are transferred to the Lottery Grants Board, which distributed more than $180 million to thousands of community groups last year.
