NZRL Monday Night Footy Results - Round 1
Despite an overcast day, those who were able to get along to Mt Smart Stadium were treated to a balmy evening and a
wonderful first up round of Monday Day Night Rugby League.
The U85kg Secondary Schools match between Orewa and Whangaparoa Colleges was fast and exciting and made even more
entertaining by their vocal supporters who cheered on every play.
In the final game of Round One of the Pirtek National Premiership the Counties Manukau Stingrays and Akarana Falcons
were evenly matched and provided a quality game of senior rugby league.

Next Monday the Counties Manukau Stingrays will host the Central Vipers (Hawkes Bay, Manawatu, Taranaki and Wanganui)
who lost in Round One to the Wellington Orcas and will be hungry for their first win.
