Not Just Another Fashion Show

Auckland, 27 August – If you’ve ever been curious about NZ Fashion Week but don’t have the time or find the thought of all those fashionista’s daunting, Ronald McDonald House Auckland has the perfect answer.
The charitable Trust will be hosting the only evening fashion show open to the public during Fashion Weekend. It will incorporate a designer selection show, featuring some of New Zealand’s top designers all under one roof. But that is just the beginning.
“What we’re pulling together is more like a gala event. It will be hosted by NZ’s Next Top Model judge Sara Tetro and will include a pre-event cocktail party, a special after party and some spectacular entertainment,” says Wayne Howett, Ronald McDonald House Auckland, CEO.
The evening will also feature an Adagio acrobatic performance. This is a very difficult act that combines the beauty and grace of dance with contemporary circus acts.
“You’ll see something you’d expect from a Cirque du Soleil performance, it’s simply breathtaking what the artists can do. I know the audience will be blown away,” says Wayne Howett.
Of course no fashion show would be complete without the essential goodie bag.
“We have some fantastic items in our goodie bags and everyone in the office has been talking about them. Some bags will even include a free designer S.T.A.M.P.S watch,” says Wayne Howett.
Tickets are only $80 for standard ticket and $150 for a premium ticket. A charity fundraiser, all money raised from the night will go towards the development of phase two of the Trust’s Grafton Mews family accommodation facility.
“This is the perfect opportunity to take in the buzz and excitement of Fashion Weekend with friends. So book the babysitter and make a night of it,” says Wayne Howett.
