Bridgeway Scoops Best New Zealand Cinema 2012!
Bridgeway Cinema Northcote was last night awarded Best Overall New Zealand Cinema, voted by the Australian Independent Distributors Association, at the Australian Movie Convention on the Gold Coast where all cinemas from all over Australia and New Zealand gather to celebrate achievements and success stories. The award is decided upon in terms of revenue, commitment to industry, public serivce, best marketing, best management and allround good guys. Kelly Rogers, co-owner, accepted the award presented by Bindy Irwin, Steve Irwin’s daughter; Phil the python was adorned around Bindy's neck at the time, thankfully he wasn't hungry! Rogers said "to be awarded the highest honour in NZ is testament to all the hard work that we put into the cinema to provide unparalleled service and were very proud of this achievement".
The team at Bridgeway are dedicated to providing the best possible movie experience in their welcoming boutique cinemas, which have now been upgraded to deliver new state-of-the-art digital cinema projection! The cinema has also won the Best Independent Cinema Award at the New Zealand Movie convention; this makes two highly prestigious awards won in the space of 3 months, and solidifies Bridgeway as the most popular cinema in New Zealand.
