DPTRCLB Winter Tour
The Departure Club is proud to present a very special winter tour of NZ, taking the iconic club night to the road and performing with friends all over the country.
After beginning in 2010, DPTRCLB has quickly reached cult-status; so much so, that the duo behind the infectious club night, Connor Nestor and Seth Josephs, are taking it on tour – and collaborating with a different brand in each city. The result? A unique party mishmash of turntable-meets-guitar.
Kicking off on August 17th in Hamilton, DPTRCLB will hook up with CTFD (Calm The Fvck Down) – beat-making newcomers who have already proven their place on your iPod, having had tracks picked up by the man himself, Diplo to be played on his BBC Radio1 show.
August 18th sees the DPRTCLB team visit Auckland’s 1885 with SUREN UNKA – NZ’s hottest bedroom producer turned party favourite. Major Tom’s in Mount Maunganui gets some action on August 31st with special guests CHILLSTREET HOOLIGANS; then the tour wraps up in the capital with TOMMY ILL taking on Mighty Mighty with the DPRTCLB boys on September 1st. TOMMY ILL released their debut album, ‘New Hat And A Haircut’ earlier this year on EMI and received massive reviews…you don’t want to miss these guys.
DPRTCLB have also teamed up with a handful of clothing brands throughout the country, who will theme each venue and conjure up a few other surprises! Brands include Lower who will take on the Hamilton event, online store White Box Boutique who will kit out 1885, Thanks store in Mount Maunganui and curators of cool, Good As Gold in Wellington.
All events are hosted by DPTRCLB DJs & friends.
