Inscriptions Are Now Open for Oceania Pitch!
Oceania Pitch 2013 will take place during FIFO 2013, from February 4th to 7th.
We are looking for oceanian documentary film projects of all lengths in development or production phase.
Once again we will be inviting major international commissioning editors who will be working with the pitchers, preparing them to pitch infront of a larger audience – this workshop will be taking place just before the pitch, from February 4th to 6th.
Among the commissioners we are expecting for 2013 are Olivier Stroh – head of documentary from Canal+ (Planet, Thalassa etc.), Laurence Hamelin (or colleague), documentary commissioner from France 5, Phil Cox, representative from CBA World View, who are providing funding and a connection to a broadcaster, such as HBO or BBC and a representative from PACMAS, the new promising pacific media fund.
In addition we will be welcoming commissioning editors from most of the pacific countries – such Paora Maxwell (TVNZ) and Carol Hirschfeld (Maori tv), Fiji TV, Cook islands tv, Tonga (Digitv), Samoa, Vanuatus, Solomons, PNG and, of course, representatives from France Ô, the major french overseas channel – Polynesie 1ere, Caledonei 1ere and Walles et Futuna 1ere.
They will choose the most promising among 9 presented projects which will be awarded a cash prize of 1000 €.
