Local Businesses Hit The Snow
More than 220 Rodney and Hibiscus Coast business people gathered at a special networking event last night held at Snowplanet in Silverdale.
The mid-winter themed event was part of the area’s most prominent business networking community, known as The Effective Network (TEN).
Run by Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development and sponsored by local businesses Baldry and Sanford, Westpac, Simpson Western, Times FM and Linku2, TEN is designed to bring businesses together to make contacts and share information.
ATEED’s Manager Business Growth – North, Ngaio Merrick, believes last night’s event was one of the largest gatherings of local businesses ever held in the area.
“It’s wonderful to see so many local businesses keen to mix and mingle with each other. Networking is an under utilised but vital business opportunity and it’s great to see Rodney and Hibiscus Coast companies enthusiastically taking part in this network,” says Ms Merrick.
“Along with a relaxed social environment, TEN always incorporates a short, useful seminar about important business techniques and skills that attendees can incorporate into their own venture.”
As well as a visit from Santa, last night’s attendees enjoyed a tour of Snowplanet’s new conference facilities.
The next TEN event will be at Soljans Estate Winery and Café in Kumeu on Wednesday, 26 September. Businesses can register at http://www.ens.org.nz/ten
