Come and enjoy the fabulous music & fun of the 60's and 70's with the award winning Daytime Concert Series presented by Operatunity. Tom Sharplin and his band are joined by Operatunity Director Geoffrey Hughes & Tamsyn Miller
Think the Beatles, Sonny & Cher, Ray Charles & Johnny Cash and you get the feel. "The hardest thing about this concert is what to leave out, there is so much great music from this era" said Geoffrey.
Tom says, “Myself and members of The Cadillacs, Ray Eade, Peter Wood and Bruce French are looking forward to touring NZ again with Geoff Hughes and the Operatunity group, this year we have with us the lovely and talented, Tamsyn Miller. You will love Tammy as soon as you hear her beautiful voice.
We hope those of you who came to our show last year will return this year to enjoy our selection of songs from the 60s & 70s, we have had so much fun rehearsing the show and then recording the songs just for your pleasure. “
We grew up in a generation very fortunate to live through such a great era in music, and we are fortunate to be able to perform these songs to take you down memory lane. “
Tom Sharplin, NZ’s King of Rock n Roll, has won many awards including NZ Variety’s ‘Benny’ and NEOA Group of the Year Award. Tom has had lots of Top 40 chart success including No1 Hit ‘Love is a Beautiful Song’ and ‘We’ll Sing in the Sunshine’. Tamsyn Miller has opened for Eric Clapton, Tom Jones and Jimmy Barnes, has sung backing vocals for George Benson and has had leading roles in many shows. Geoffrey Hughes is a co-founder of Operatunity and is well known on the concert platform.
With two venues already sold out with second shows having to be scheduled and two others approaching capacity, we urge you to book early. Grab the phone and call now, don’t forget to put your dancing shoes by the door.
