Plenty to Play for in Haier Pulse’s Final Game

The Haier Pulse go into the final round of the 2012 ANZ Championship with one aim in mind and that is to have another go at winning on Australian soil says head coach Robyn Broughton.

“We’re really looking forward to Sunday’s game,” she explained ahead of the round 14 match against the West Coast Fever in Perth. “It gives us the opportunity to gain some more experience and have another go at an Australian team. We’ll be up against a passionate home crowd and that always presents a challenge.”

The Haier Pulse came up short against the Melbourne Vixens in Monday night’s game at Te Rauparaha Arena, but Broughton is pleased that the mood in the camp remainspositive. “We’re obviously disappointed about the result, but the girls have been working hard on improving on that performance and I’m sure you’ll see that on Sunday.”

The team will travel to Perth with eleven players with Katarina Cooper ruled out of the game with an injury to her left knee.

The Haier Pulse face the West Coast Fever at the Challenge Stadium in Perth on Sunday at 4pm. The match will be shown live on Sky Sport 1 and don’t forget you can keep up to date with all the latest news from the Haier Pulse on facebook.com/Haier.Pulse or twitter @HaierPulse.
