27 June 2011: Henderson’s Trust Stadium Arena will come alive with New Zealand’s top young Netballers next week as they take part in the NZ U19 / U21 Age Group Championships from the 2nd - 5th July 2012 .

The NZ U19/U21 Age Group Championships is an event that highlights New Zealand’s rising Netball talent. The event has a strong and proud tradition of competiveness, reinforced by the players’ determination to represent their Region, showing off their skill and mettle.

A prime talent-spotting ground for ANZ Championship coaches looking for “top tier talent”, the NZ Age Group Championships will feature many NZU21 squad, NZ Emerging Talent Accelerant Squad and New Zealand Secondary School squad members hoping to take the next step in their Netball careers.

Christchurch U21 shooter and NZ Emerging Talent Accelerant Squad member Sarah Hayman is excited and proud to be representing her region and is looking forward to utilising the skills she has learnt training with the Canterbury Tactix alongside sister and teammate Elizabeth Hayman.

“We have loved every minute of training alongside the Canterbury Tactix and being exposed to the High Performance environment” Hayman said.

“Hopefully we can bring what we have learnt on to the court at Age Groups and be the team to beat in 2012.”

“My Canterbury team is amazing, they are competitive, a real team unit and have the potential to topple some of the tougher teams in the championships”.

15 U19 and seven U21 teams will be striving for success in 2012 at the Trusts Stadium Arena in Henderson from the 2nd - 5th July 2012 .
