HOME Magazine and Cavit&Co. host Talking Trends evening to benefit abandoned children’s charity

Auckland, June 7, 2012 - Jeremy Hansen, Editor of HOME NZ magazine, and Debbie Cavit, of Cavit&Co. are hosting the 2012/2013 Talking Trends event on Thursday June 28thfrom 6.30-9pm at the Cavit&Co. store in Parnell.

The evening will showcase the latest trends in fashion, interior design and architecture.

This is an exclusive event that will sell out fast. Tickets are priced at $45 and can be ordered by emailing events@nph.org.

This event will also give guests the opportunity to bid on a number of auction items including an interior design consultation from Cavit&Co., boutique accommodation in Arrowtown and Hamner Springs, jewellery from Wunderkammer, golf at the exclusive The Hills in Arrowtown, and a tango dinner show, with tango champions, at Besos Latinos.

Proceeds from the evening will benefit the children of NPH, a non-profit organisation providing permanent homes, education, healthcare and a future for orphaned and abandoned children in Latin America and The Caribbean.

Kristina Cavit, daughter of Debbie Cavit, spent 2 years volunteering with NPH in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Nicaragua and Honduras and experienced firsthand how NPH gives children the chance at a future.

Debbie Cavit has visited NPH homes and was inspired to help the children; Cavit&Co. have since hosted a number of events in support of NPH.
24 year old Kristina has since returned home to New Zealand to raise much needed support for these children.

NPH is an international organisation with fundraising offices in Spain, Germany, Austria, Belgium, The Netherlands and The United States.

The organisation is supported by the likes of Adrianna Lima, Andrea Bocelli and Olivia Wilde, and has provided a home for more than 17,000 children since its establishment in 1954.

The June 28th event is sponsored by Cavit&Co., Glengarry Wines, TCP Printing, Besos Latinos, Wunderkammer Jewellery and a number of local businesses.
