Rocket, the dreamy debut album from Cool Rainbows is out now on Lil
Chief Records on both CD and blue translucent vinyl. This
band is the new project by Auckland based musician and
producer Djeisan Suskov, who used to front Trees
Climbing Trees and who also happens to be a bit of a genius

debut album). Originally a solo project of Suskov's, other
musicians have come to be an integral part of the band
playing various live shows including supporting Real Estate
this year.

Sunday School - Sunday 10th June - 6-8pm - Paul
Kalkbrenner w./ Thomas
Not long ago Paul Kalkbrenner
was Germany's best kept secret, but now he is considered, by
many, the number 1 minimal electro producer in the world. He
also starred as actor in the movie Berlin Calling for
which he also contributed most of the soundtrack. A
collaboration with Moby and the remix Gary Jules's Mad
World shed some more public light on him. Tune in to
Radio One's Sunday School and enjoy this delight of
electronic music, hosted in the language of love (English
with a German accent) by
Thomas.

Radia
- show 375 - radio d'oiseaux (kokako variations), by radio
cegeste - Sunday 10th June - 10pm w./ Campbell &
Sally
DNT GVP is a composition by experimental
musician and filmmaker Neven Lochhead, who is based
out of Kingston, Ontario. Like much of Neven's recent work,
DNT GVP concerns itself with abstraction and
experience of space. Clean guitar tones are played while
sounds of Pond Inlet, Nunavut, a small hamlet in the arctic,
surface to the ears between rests. A slight echo is applied
to the sounds of the town, immediately informing that the
sound is an abstraction. A complete and pure representation
is always abstracted by the appearance of added audio. The
landscape fades in and out of conscious listening. Later in
the piece, a recording from an Italian language tape fades
in, first appearing as part of the landscape itself - a
distant radio playing through someone's kitchen window. The
sound of the tape increases, thickens and engulfs the
impossible soundscape.
